Spicy Soy Grilled Squid Recipe

For a delicious and Asian-inspired squid dish with a touch of chilli, this recipe is perfect. The trick for this fresh recipe is not overcooking the squid.

190g squid, sliced in rings
4 tsp soy sauce
3 tsp chilli sauce
1 tsp fish sauce
2 garlic cloves, crushed
1 tsp sesame oil
3 tsp lime juice
1 tsp sugar
1/4 tsp pepper
6 tsp olive oil
Coriander, to garnish
Spring onion to garnish


  1. Mix together the soy sauce, chilli sauce, fish sauce, garlic, sesame oil, sugar, lime juice, pepper, and olive oil
  2. Cover the squid in half of the sauce and marinate for 20 minutes
  3. Heat a charcoal grill and place the marinated squid on
  4. Grill for 2 minutes on each side
  5. Pour the marinade from the squid onto the grill when cooking
  6. Garnish with coriander and spring onion. Serve with the reserved sauce
