Southern Fried Lobster Recipe

Try something new with lobster and our southern fried bites! Crisp, delicious, and luxurious – this is the perfect party recipe.

200g raw lobster
150g plain flour
50g corn starch
100g cornmeal or polenta
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp ground thyme
1 tsp black pepper
1tsp salt
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
2 tsp paprika
100ml single cream
100ml milk
60g mayonnaise
2 garlic cloves, crushed
1 tsp fresh parsley
Salt and pepper


  1. Prepare the lobster and cut into small bite-sized pieces
  2. Mix together the flour, corn starch, cornmeal, baking powder, thyme, salt and pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne, and paprika.
  3. Heat the oil to 160˚C
  4. Mix together the milk and cream
  5. Dip your lobster into the flour mix, then into the milk mix, and back into the flour mix
  6. Fry the lobster until golden brown and crispy
  7. Mix together the mayonnaise, garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper
  8. Serve with the hot lobster bites immediately
