Crispy Prawn Burger Recipe

If you love prawns and burgers, this recipe is just for you! Combine the nation’s favourite comfort dish with tasty prawns for a unique twist on a classic burger.

400g king prawns
2 tbsps chopped dill
2 spring onions
5 chopped basil leaves
1 sage leaf
2 minced garlic cloves
½ tsp chilli flakes
4 tbsps breadcrumbs
½ cup of soy sauce
4 tbsps plain flour
salt and pepper to taste


  1. Add the prawns, dill, spring onions, basil, garlic, sage, chilli, salt and pepper in a food processor/blender. Pulse 3 or 4 times for 3 seconds each.
  2. Transfer the mix into a bowl and add the soy sauce and the breadcrumbs and mix with a spatula until just combined, careful to not over-mix. Divide it into four patties, coat in seasoned flour and refrigerate it for half hour.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet and pan-fry each patty 4 minutes per side. Serve it in burger buns with salad and your relish of choice.
