It's that time of year again and boy don't we know it! We're running at full stream to bring further inspired innovations to market in the months to come. A Fresh new look!

We've embarked on a major brand and pack redesign which will bring a fresh new look to every pack in our entire range, starting with chilled brined products. The new design will be introduced on 180g tubs - Crayfish tails, King prawns and Cold water prawns, and made available from July 2008. It has been designed to emphasise the quality and freshness of our seafood, highlighted by beautiful close-up photography and transparent lids and tubs - allowing consumers to visually inspect the product.
New look products
Our main aim with the new packs is to increase consumption and communicate simply and clearly the health benefits of seafood. To drive down sodium levels in our brined range we have replaced the existing sodium ingredient with Low Sodium Sea Salt - 60% less sodium than ordinary salt. Our packs now carry the 'Low Sodium Sea Salt' logo. And in a further move to support and encourage consumers to eat more seafood, the UK seafood authorities '2 a week' logo will also appear on all our restyled packs. Big Prawn makes a big splash in Europe

European consumers are rapidly catching on to convenience-based seafood products and we're extremely proud to announce two major retail listings in Champion (Carrefour) and Daily Monop (Monoprix) in France. Earlier this year we launched 'Breakers' - seafood and dip snacks and 'Seafood Sensations' - micro-waveable ready meals - with them. As well as these new listings, we have also extended our traditional range into Italy.

BPC Launch with Waitrose

The start of June saw the first orders dispatched to 188 Waitrose stores nationally. Our new look brined range will be taking centre stage on-shelf along with our 'Breakers', snack and dip range - perfect timing for summer recipes and picnics.

BPC nets UK Export award

Back in April our hard work and achievements with retail listings in Europe, were recognised at the Passport to Export Awards.
We received a highly commended award from the UK Trade and Investment (UKTI), at a prestigious ceremony held at Ickworth House, near Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.
